How Does Traffic School Work?

Our online traffic school and defensive driving courses are designed to make the process of completing your requirement easy and affordable. Follow these simple steps to faster traffic ticket dismissal. (May vary by state.)

  • 1) Traffic Ticket County and Court: Check your traffic ticket. The state and county where you received the citation is the state and county you need to enroll in traffic school.

  • 2) Registering: Keep your citation handy. Some states, like California, require citation information to register for traffic school. You may need your traffic citation number, the county where you received your ticket and the court information. This should all be found on your traffic ticket. Once you've filled out your contact information, you will be able to proceed to course selection.

  • 3) Traffic School or Defensive Driving: TrafficSchoolToGo.com already knows what type of traffic school you need. Depending on your state, it may be called Traffic School, Defensive Driving or Driver Improvement. Once you select your state, we will present your option for that state. All of our traffic school is designed according to state requirements and ensures that everyone who passes is eligible for point reduction. After you've completed the course material, you may be prompted to take a final exam. In most states, you need to pass this final exam in order to receive your certificate.

    4) Certificate: Once you've passed your final exam, your traffic school certificate will be immediately processed. Depending on your state, you may have different options on how to receive your certificate. Most counties allow expediting in case you have a court deadline approaching and/or need proof of course completion for insurance benefits.
