Q: How does Traffic School To Go work? (General Info)
A: The answer to your question varies depending on the court that issued your ticket. The easiest way to check it out is to register and try it. There is no charge to start so you can make sure you like it before committing to anything. You may complete almost all of the course before you will be required to pay, so there's nothing to lose.
Q: How long does the program take?
A: TrafficSchoolToGo.com is a self-paced program so some people do it faster and some slower. The course covers the same material that is covered in a classroom course in 8 hours, but most people can cover this material on their own in half that time or even less. You do not have to do it all in one sitting. You may come and go as you please.
Q: How long will it take to get my certificate?
A: The answer to your question varies depending on the court that issued your ticket. For most courts, if you pass your Final Exam by 3 p.m. any day that the court is open, your certificate will be processed that same day.
Q: My court is not on your list, can I still take the course?
A: Possibly. You must contact the judge (or traffic supervisor) at your court to request special permission to take our program (approved by over 140 other courts). If you receive permission, then contact us to determine how to sign up.
Q: Am I eligible to take Traffic School To Go?
A: Eligibility is determined by the court. If you were sent paperwork from the court with our name on it, you are OK to proceed. Otherwise, go to www.trafficschooltogo.com, click on the link for new students, and choose your court from the pull-down menu to see your court's eligibilty requirements.
Q: Does the court need to have my certificate in hand by the due date?
A: Different courts have different policies on due dates. You must contact your court to determine whether they go by the completion date, the postmark, or the date they actually have your certificate in hand. Some courts may have a "grace period" or be able to grant an extension, but you must get this information from the court.
Q: How is the Completion Date that is printed on my Certificate determined?
A: The Completion Date that is printed on your Certificate is the date by which you have BOTH paid for the course AND completed it.
Q:Is there a need for me to appear in court once the court has my certificate?
A: While most courts do not require an appearance if you elect to do traffic school, every court sets its own policy. You will have to check with your specific court for a definitive answer to this question.
Q: What is the difference between Traffic School To Go and other on-line schools?
A: Live personnel to answer your questions; no time-consuming downloads; come and go as you please without having to repeat a chapter; well written, entertaining and informative; quickest turnaround time for your certificate at no extra charge.
Q: Can I take the course despite having missed my court deadline?
A: It doesn't really matter when you start as long as you are eligible for traffic school and you meet the court's requirements for your due date.
Q: How do I know the court cleared my ticket?
A: You will not receive notification from the court that your ticket has been cleared. We recommend that you contact the court approximately two weeks after you've finished and paid for traffic school to make sure not only that they received the certificate but also processed it correctly.
Q: I have incorrect information on my certificate. How come?
A: Our system takes what you enter upon registration EXACTLY as you enter it, and that is what ends up on your Certificate. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to double-check this information. You can check and/or edit both your personal information and your citation information from your "Student Control Panel" (towards the bottom of any page once you've logged in). We do not edit or change your information in any way unless we are on the phone with you. There will be a $10.00 charge for any certificate reissued with corrected information.

Q: Can I take a break while doing Traffic School To Go?
A: Absolutely. You can go at your own pace, and everything is AUTOMATICALLY saved on our server. You'll find a link to log out at the bottom of any page, or you can just close your browser. In fact, even if you lose your connection or your power were to go out, you'll find everything will be just where you left it after you've logged back on.
Q: Will I have to take a Final Exam?
A: Yes, you will have to pass a Final Exam. A few courts require that you take the Final Exam at an authorized testing location near you. If you are unsure of your court's requirements, you will be given appropriate instructions when you complete the course and it is time for you to take the Final Exam. Otherwise, feel free to call us 24/7 for information.

Q: How can I get in touch with a Traffic School To Go representative?
A: For immediate support 24/7, you may speak to a Traffic School To Go representative by calling toll-free 1-888-349-8425.

Q: Can I take Traffic School To Go if I have a commercial driver license?
A: Commercial drivers are prohibited by law from attending traffic violator courses in lieu of adjudicating a traffic offense. The goal of this regulation is to ensure traffic safety by holding commercial drivers to a higher standard. Without these provisions, it would be possible for commercial drivers to avoid the consequences of Federally mandated actions against their licenses. This does not prevent a judge from requiring a commercial driver to take traffic school, but that driver may not use their certificate of completion to mask a point.

Q: I can't log in..!?!
A: Make sure you're entering your license number and password EXACTLY as you entered them when you registered. It doesn't matter whether you use lower case or caps, BUT make sure you haven't confused the letter "O" for a ZERO. If you still can't log in, please try the "FORGET YOUR PASSWORD?" link below the password field or call us 24/7.

Q: I keep getting a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error message.
A: First make sure you are connected to the Internet and your Internet Service Provider (AOL, Earthlink, NetZero etc.) is accessing websites. If you do have access but keep getting an error message, then...
You are probably on our secure server. Some browsers have trouble in a secure setting, but you don't need it unless you are paying or registering. So here's what you do...
Check the address in the white "location" or "address" bar on your browser. If it begins with "https://" you are on our secure server and need to change to the regular server.
Click in the address bar (don't highlight the whole address, you may have to click twice until your cursor blinks without any highlighting). Then delete ONLY the "s" from "https" so that the address begins with "http://". Hit "Enter" and you should be able to continue without interruption.

Q: I'm having problems taking the Final Exam because of my AOL parental controls. What can I do?
A: Whoever set up the parental controls can temporarily disable them by signing onto AOL with a Master Screen Name. A Master Screen Name is the first screen name you created for this account or any screen name you have assigned Master Screen Name status at Keyword: NAMES.
1. Click SETTINGS on the AOL toolbar, then click PARENTAL CONTROLS.
2. Click SET PARENTAL CONTROLS.
3. Select the Screen Name whose settings you wish to modify from the Edit controls for box, use the Green Arrows to scroll down in the Custom Controls box, then click the GREEN BOX next to Web Control.
4. Select General Access, then click SAVE.
5. Click OK.
6. Click the X in the upper right corner to close the Parental Controls windows.

Q: I can't get to your website.
A: Make sure you are having your browser "Go" to our website instead of "Search" for our site. You can type www.trafficschooltogo.com directly into the white "address" or "location" bar near the top of your browser window and press "enter" or click "Go". Another way to get to a website directly is to hold down the control key ("ctrl" in the lower left of your keyboard) and at the same time press the letter "o". This should open a dialog box into which you can type www.trafficschooltogo.com
and then press "enter".

Q: Didn't I already pay the court for traffic school?
A: Most courts charge a "Traffic School Fee". This is an administrative fee for them, not traffic school tuition. We receive no money from the court and they receive no money from us. You will have to pay tuition to any traffic school you use regardless of court fees.
